Behold, A New Thing: Don’t Let Your History Dictate Your Destiny By: Pastor Jeffrey W. Lewis

Christmas has passed and the new year is almost here. A new year represents new beginnings. It’s a good opportunity to take personal inventory of last year and to see if any changes should be made in order to have a better 2026. History will always repeat itself unless there’s a change that takes place.

Don’t allow history to determine your destiny. If there’s something in your past that has been hindering your spiritual growth then you must be willing to let it go. It’s a new year and we are new creatures in Christ. God is waiting and willing to do something new this year in your life.

Isaiah 43:18-19 “Remember not the former things neither consider things of old. “Behold I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

God is saying here to put last year behind you so he can bless you with a better new year.
